Butter Rum Apples

4                         Gala Apples

1/2   cup               Rum

1/2   cup               Water

1      cup               Sugar

1      Tbs.              Instant Coffee

1/4   tsp.               Cinnamon

1/2   cup               Butter

1      cup               Sweetened Whipped Cream

Peel, core and halve the apples.  In a medium pot, heat the rum, water, sugar, cinnamon, instant coffee,

cinnamon and butter  until it starts to boil.  Simmer 10 minutes.  Add apples and cook until tender.

Serve with whipped cream on top.
